When I first came to America my dad lost his job. We had no car, no furniture, or food. Sometimes we didn’t know where the next meal was going to come from. We’d pray about it, and then we’d see people show up at our house with groceries or furniture. Checks would come in the mail that just covered our bills. During that time my little sister was born, and still to this day we don’t know who paid the hospital bill! Another one of the neatest answers to prayer was having a best friend. I prayed for years for a best friend that I could really have a strong spiritual relationship with - someone whom I could encourage and receive encouragement from. And then God brought into my life Karleen, whom I met at church. That was such a blessing to me, ‘cause I prayed for it for so long, and she was just what God knew I needed.
